Submission Instructions for R&A Special Issue

Authors invited in submitting their paper for publication in the special issue on "Robot Learning by Demonstration" of the Robotics and Autonomous Systems journal should use the Elsevier's Electronic Manuscripts and the RAS Guide for Authors as guidelines for preparing their manuscript. Sample RAS journal articles can be found here.

Please limit your paper to 8 pages (printed journal page). If you would like to exceed this limit, please contact us. Reasonable length extensions are possible. Elsevier can accept papers in almost any format (Microsoft Word, ASCII, LaTeX, etc.) and will perform all formatting necessary for journal publication. If you plan to write with LaTeX, we recommend that you use the Elsevier LaTeX package

Please submit your manuscript no later than Monday 16th of May 2005. The submission should include:

  1. The original, electronic version of the manuscript. For instance, if you use Latex, you should send the *.tex, and *.pdf. If you use word, you should send the *.doc file.
  2. Good quality original figures (camera-ready). Each figure should be printed on separate sheets using the highest possible resolution. All images should be in black and white (unless you are willing to pay the fairly expensive color printing fees).
  3. A list of key words (refer to the RAS Guide for Authors for guidelines).
  4. Corresponding author's e-mail address on the title page of the paper because Elsevier sends proofs by e-mail.

The submission should be sent either by email to aude.billard@epfl.ch (only if the manuscript is less than 3Mb), or by mail on a CD-ROM, Zip or 3.5" floppy, Zip to:

SNF Prof. Aude Billard
EPFL - STI-I2S-LSA3

If you have any questions, please send email to aude.billard@epfl.ch.
